- Have hard copies of instruction manuals and how-to guides for your oxygen devices for troubleshooting on the go.
- Arrange a backup oxygen supply at your destination or along your travel route, through local providers or oxygen delivery services.
- Inform someone (family member, friend, or travel companion) about your itinerary and oxygen needs so they can assist in emergencies and raise alarms if needed.
- Ensure you have the correct contact information of local medical facilities and oxygen suppliers at each destination in case you need urgent help.
- Keep your portable oxygen concentrator (POC) with you at all times during layovers or transit and avoid checking it with luggage.
- Monitor your health closely and alert airport or travel staff early if you experience breathing difficulties or equipment malfunctions.
- Label all parts of your oxygen equipment clearly with your name and contact information to prevent loss or confusion
